  • Notes: Here some info on how I did this piece: The first step was to blend some old metal textures togheter. Then I sketched the character on an empty layer, using a 50% opacity 5 pixel wide brush. Once I was happy with the shape and outline, I merged the texture and sketch layer togheter. At this point I started working the light into the drawing. After sketching the darker areas with a 20% opacity large brush, I mostly used with the dodge and burn tools (magic!). The dodge tool set on highlights is my favorite method to add highlights. After that was done, I went and worked all the small details with the smudge tool, set at 50% opacity and using brushes ranging from 1 to 5 pixel wide. As a last step, I added some color variations here and there (using both the color balance and paintbrush set on color tools), so to give accents to the image. The image was created completely on photoshop with just a stinky little mouse... yeah.. you heard me right.. I haven't got a graphic tablet yet
